Notes image alt tag

In HTML the tag allows a mouse popup to appear over an image. Is there any way to replicate this on images, action buttons etc in the Notes client?

For pictures you enter the alternate text in the “alternate text” field of the dialog box.

Alternate text is only used as an alternative for images for disabled persons. It is not a text pop-up.

Never mind. Once again it looks like Notes is far too restrictive

You use Create → Hotspot → Text-popup

It can work on hovering or clicking.

PS yes you can do hover text on text links as well using title=“lotus notes”

Unfortunately I needed a mouse tool-tip on an image. Not text.Thanks anyway

Hopefully since this post (3 yrs ago) you’ve found out you CAN do the mouse over tool tip on an image (by putting it in Picture Properties as stated in a post above), and to not be so hasty in forming opinions of what Notes can and cannot do.

Gosh that darn ‘restrictive Notes’ attitude… foiled again!
