When opening Domino Administrator from a Windows XP client, I get an error pop up requiring me to login then after login the error “Notes has been asked to execute a potentially dangerous action by a program on your system”. how do i respond to this?
Subject: It is an ECL response
Something on your client has requested to do something that it currently does not have the rights to do based on the signature.
The dialog box should tell you the signature of the app and what it is trying to do.
It is up to you if you want to execute the steps or not. If you don’t know, normally click no.
You can see your current ECL settings in the File->User security menu option. Then under “What others do”.
The signature with the client is “Lotus Notes Template Development” and should not need to be requested to run, unless you deleted it from your ECL list.
