Notes/FX fails to exchange data between Lotus Notes 8 document fields and Lotus Word Pro document fields.

TIP - After much pain and lots of experimentation I’ve discovered a workaround, please see Notes tone unturned: [UPDATED] Lotus Notes/FX 8.5.1 to Lotus Word Pro field exchange failure -- solved!

This didn’t work on my Windows 7 machine - is there any more detail on this issue?

We’ve had a system with an embedded XL file and Notes/FX working since R4 that just croaks on R8
