Notes - Exchange Coexistence

I’m looking for a way of setting up coexistense between Lotus Notes 7.* or higher and Microsoft Exchange 2003 or newer.

  • Directory sync

  • Mail routing

  • Calendering and Scheduling

  • Busytime

I searched the web but didn’t find anything for newer versions. ( exchange 2003 Notes connectors supports only notes 6.*)

Thanks in advance for any help.

Officially thats what its suported and I would recommend using that client.

We tried to make that coexistence work (8.0.2 and Exchange Connector) and we had to back it up because the router wouldnt connect to the Exchange.

I found some places where people have the same error. Domino to Exchange will work, but the process that handles Domino wont start. Dont ask me why. And dont ask IBM either =). There is a new software I once found (M$ site) that said it supports Exchange 2007 and Domino 8 up, but you have 2003 like we had)

We ended up using smart hosts all over the place and local accounts (LDAP accounts in the Notes client) for directories.

Works pretty well but you loose some of the calendar (Although I remember iCal worked) and the busytime.

Hope it helps
