Hi All,

I have a simple doubt about one simple error.“Document command is not available”. Can anybody please explain about this error and when it fires?

I have seen it mostly when you are trying to perform a function on the UI document that requires it to be in Edit Mode but the document is in Read Mode.

Thanks Q Man,

The issue is with particular users only, I am not getting the error to that particular document which the some users are getting. Is there any authorization issue in this case?

Check their access to the database and document(s). It would appear they do not have the access needed to edit the document (first thing to check). For a quick check, if they have ACL access of Author, switch them to Editor and see if they still get the error.

Readers and authors fiekds in docs will cause this error if user cannot edit the doc.
