I have Notes 8.5 client (clean install and upgraded from 8.0.x) on Windows XP SP3. I can reproduce this on multiple computers consistently. Using Standard client, open a chat from Sametime to a user. Don’t have to type or send anything (error occurs anyway). Click Tools, Send As, Email. Get an error “Notes Error - Null object handle”. Title of the window is “Lotus Notes MailMan Error”. The new message of course doesn’t creat the chat can’t be emailed. Any ideas?

the eroor appens when invokin notes as default mail program (i.e. adobe reader want send a pdf attachment)

The issue exists also when right-clicking someone (e.g. in the Sametime Contacts list) and then choosing Send → E-mail…, but NOT when right-clicking a person in the Domino Directory, People view and choosing the same.So far, reproducible on all our Notes 8.5 Standard clients.
Any workarounds?

It’s about regional settings. Try as English USA language and USA location. It was a bug and solved before. But in this version it’s alive.

I can reproduce this exact same issue on many of my 8.5 standard clients except my own seems to work.

I found that if you keep bookmarks database open you can use the option send mail to from a file and in Sametime.
If bookmark is closed you get the error !!!
