Notes domain in the replay address why?

I have two Domino R5.07A servers. Both are in different Notes domains. I have configured one server as a SMTP gateway for in coming and out going E-Mail (Server 1, domain name =Domain1), the other server (Server 2, domain name=Domain2) uses server 1 as a relay server for E-Mail. When a E-Mail arrived from Internet Server 1 take the E-Mail and route the mail to server 2 with notes router not with SMTP. Now to the problem, when a get a mail from any one for example test.test@telia.com and reply the E-Mail, the Replay address will become robert.nilsson@telia.com%domain1. My question is how must I configured Server 2 if I don?t want the notes domain in the replay address, I what that the replay address should be like this test.test@telia.com and no notes domain should be append to the replay address when I replay E-Mail. Have you any good idea how a do??? thank you in advance

you will find a wealth of detail on this topic if you search either forum for “global domain”, becuase that is the type of document you need to create to define this behavior. For example:

Where shall this global domain document be, in internal Domino domain or on the domain that the SMTP server is in?

Sorry; just found your reply today.

I believe it depends on whether you’re routing between domains via NRPC or SMTP, as that will control which server converts the message format. However, there shouldn’t be any problem with setting it that way in both domains’ NABs.
