Dear All!
We have a scenario, where (unfortunatelly) a part of the company moved to exchange, and these useres moved to a different location and set up an additional Notes Server in their building. (The exchange server is in Chicago). We have plenty of notes application using workflow and sending out doclinks. Those users who had using LN they are still using their notes beside outlook. We bridged the notification problem so, that in the addressbook we forwarded their mail in the person document to an SMTP address.
We have two problems related to this, when the application sends a doclink with the Notes Name in the Send To field (that is forwarded to the SMTP address) it arrives on the other side as notes link with the GIF icon. and the content in the outlook (in the source)
This way clicking the link in the outlook opens the notes client and then can’t find the server. Saying “unable to find any path to C12573F80080C656 because Unable to find path to server.”
But if the doclink is sent to the same smtp address typed in the Send To field instead of the notes name. This case the link arrives to the outlook as “Link” and the content is:
<a
href=“Notes://UDUMWMBX01/C12573F80080C656/38D46BF5E8F08834852564B500129B2C/4A05A1209B58DEB5C1257418004FA8F8”>Link
And this works fine.
Can somebody tell me how can i force the system to send out the link described in the last case?
Also can somebody tell me why the notes client can not find the document based on the first link? The system can not indentify the Replica ID, even it is in the Catalog directory.
Thanks for your comment!
