Hello all:I am trying to install 6.01 on a client the installation went well but when I tried accessing the notes client I got an error notes directory is inaccessable do you know this error ,what is notes directory?

I had this problem once too… in my case I had copied the notes.ini and names.nsf files onto a CD and then onto a different machine (in order to move a user from one computer to another). When I started up the new computer (with the files from the CD copied into the notes directory correctly), I got this error.
The problem was a result of the files being “read only.” I fixed it by right-clicking the file in Windows Explorer, selecting Properties, and then un-checking “read only.”

During installation of the client you specified to connect to a Domino Server. As part of the initial client setup you entered the name of a Domino server that the client can’t find. Try pinging the server by name and see what happens. If you can’t ping it then Notes can’t see it, either.
If you can’t ping it you may need to the server to your local hosts file, or add it to an internal DNS server.
