We have been seeing issues regarding Windows client having low disk space. After investigating what causes the low available disk space, we found out that Note temp folder is populated with files with DTF extension occupying 53 GB for the usual 80GB HDD. Each DTF is 64KB in size. And most of the time, Notes client is stuck in splash screen. Any idea what may have caused this? How do we prevent notes from generating millions of DTF files?
Thanks in advance.

Use below paramenter in notes.ini and check.
Default_Index_Lifetime_Days=15
15= number of days for purge interval…
Subject: call support
You have a unique situation and would probably be better off calling support. (This forum is not an official means of contacting support. It is a user forum.)
That said, I would make sure all the permissions are correct on all the folders the client is using, and possibly reinstall the notes client. If that doesn’t do it, there might be a corrupt database. Since it doesn’t get past the splash screen, I would try deleting the notes.ini and desktop.ndk and cache.dsk and let the client recreate them on the next startup.
