Notes client for ID vault?

In order to use the Domino 8.5 ID Vault functionality to retrieve a forgotten password, does the Notes client in question also have to be 8.5?

Subject: ID vault functionality requires 8.5 client and server (more inside)

The minimum requirements for using ID vault in mixed environment:

8.5 Admin server with 8.5 directory template

At least one 8.5 server per home/mail cluster

8.5 server for vault replicas

8.5 client

If vault policies are configured, they will only be understood by 8.5 clients and ignored by earlier clients.

Thanks for the reply, Katherine. A pity, as I can upgrade my Domino servers pretty much when I decide is appropriate, but upgrade the clients? That is another matter.
