I’m looking for a tool to help automate the installation of Notes Clients. I primarily need a way to automate the customization of the workspace, connection documents, location documents, user preferences. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

There is a tool called InstallPump by Domino that does exactly this.If I recall it’s not cheap and I have never used it.

At a previous company we setup an automated process that went through and ‘built’ the client using some software called Automate . It enabled us to build the client exactly how we wanted it and the client configurations were then deployed to the user who got an already set up notes client when they logged in. The only problem was that it was a pain to maintain and occasionally problems cropped up with the process.
These days though though there are Policies available in Domino that allow you to do this. You can probably achieve most of what your trying to do using Setup and Desktop Policies. There are also some others available that might be useful that you should look into.
