Notes Client behind Novel Bordermanager Proxy

I’ve been trying to connect my notes client to a domino server located at Internet to replicate local databases and manage the server.

If I put my PC which has notes client directly in Internet with a public IP address it succeds connecting, but if I put it behind Bordermanager proxy the connection fails.

I’ve changed location document to use http tunnel and it doesn’t work, socks was activated at bordermanager and changed tunnel by socks and didn’t work.

Bordermanager Rules include allowing 1352 source port from server at internet to any port in the local network and any source port of the local network to 1352 at Internet server.

I have a connection document pointing to server, and in fact it works but only directly at Internet.

Does someone know what kind of rules need to be set exactly at proxy? Is there any special configuration for client I haven’t tried?

I have another question, which socks version is used in notes clients?

I’ve seen this problem too. How are you (the client) connected to the Internet?

When I was connecting using 56K dial-up to my ISP everything was o.k. When I connected thru my companies T1 I could not connect to the Notes server. I found out that the packets were cut at about 1381 bytes (don’t remember exactly).

After I told this to the admin of the BorderManager he made some changes (probably MTU size) and the problem went away.
