We have Lotus Notes for email, IM and several applications and decided to move to Outlook for emails and IM and remain on Notes client for all the applications we have, atleast for some amount of time. If the emails are setup on Outlook, I can still use the existing applications But wondering How can I get the mails working which come from mail send action of any application.

I can use an application and send action to send a document link from the application to the newly setup outlook email.

If the person on outlook receives the doc link and clicks on it Notes client gets launched and will show the document in the link after signing in.
But at this point, if the user has to click on an action which in turn sends an email, will the applications Mail send logic work despite the fact that the user has no mail setup on his Lotus Notes client.
