Notes Client: 1000's of Files

Hi

I was checking the data directory of my users the other day and found that SOME of the users had a directory called Domino in /Lotus/Notes/Data that contained a large number of small files. Each user has:

3.129 files in directory JS

   441 files in directory java

   429 files in  directory icons

   298 files in directory html

These 4 directories seem to always exist, mostly with the afore mentioned files - sometimes there are more or less files in the directory though!

does anybody have any idea where this could come from?

This effects about 10% of my users. They can be “new” users (using Notes for a couple of weeks) or ones that have been using for years?
