I tried to fix a calander printing problem as per the notes say to fix a printing problem when you double click a meeting and try to print it cuts off the data on the right side of the page. My user does not want to use landscape as suggested but she wants it in portrait. She is the one that makes all the meetings for our vice president and when she views it it shows it cut off and it prints the same way. If she sends me a metting for me to open and i have version 6.5.5 it prints and print preview shows fine. Does anyone know a fix for this if the person is the one that is creating not just reading the meeting? PLEASE AVISE!!

I’d never noticed this before, but Notes appears to use the on-screen widths for print layout rather than the page width.
What I mean is that if you change the width of the notes window (restore it if you have it maximized, then reduce the width to the point where the calendar entry is just barely all on screen in width). then print preview shows the document without it being cut-off.
I would consider that a bug, though I don’t know if it’s a template bug or a client/printing bug. But, I’m leaning toward client/printing bug - I would think that printing would use the expected paper dimensions when laying out the form, instead of how it’s currently rendered on screen. Imagine if the Acrobat reader printed documents out shrunken if you were viewing it at 50% zoom!

Speaking of adobe…have you tried priting to a PDF form her machine and confirming if the margins are cut off? If not, perhaps that can be a workaround for her…

this is a bug that notes knows about but i wondered if anyone knew of some outside printing software that would fix it. i have done everything to correct and the only way is to have someone else create the meeting and print it. Or landscape. The creator cannnot print it in portrait without it cutting off let me show you where i found documentation this issue.

When you attempt to print or preview a calendar entry in Notes 6.x and Notes 7.x some of the information on the right side (second column) of information may be truncated. Specifically the information for the Chair, Where (Location, Rooms, Resources and Online settings) and Categorize entries may be truncated.
Solution
This issue was reported to Quality Engineering as SPR# PMOL5B8TX7, and was fixed in Domino 6.5.5 and Domino 7.0.1. Note: This issue is fixed only when printing or previewing a document opened in Read mode.

I wanted to know if there was some other way. She is the creator of the document and only the people that get the meeting can print it but she is the admin assist to vice president and she needs to be able to print it.
