Notes application calendar

Dear all,

I try to add a notes application calendar to my calendar. I am using Notes 8.5.1 FP3 (Eclipse client) with the OpenNTF ME 8.5.1 Template.

When I add an other users calendar or an iCal-Feed, it works great.

But with an calendar in an application I only get the entries, but they are not labeled with any text. Only the box with the background color an the icon appears. When I double-click these entries, the open up correctly.

Can anyone help to solve this issue?

Thank you

Subject: A couple thoughts

First off, do you have access to the Calendar you are federating? If not then you will only see what can be gleaned from busytime data.

Second, do you have calendar entry detail harvesting enabled? You should check the “Default Domain Configuration Document” (the “[*] - All Servers” one) on the Basics tab. Make sure “Extract calendar details” is checked and you have some item names selected (just below the checkbox).

Without extracted details and no granted direct access, we can only show you the busytimes but nothing else about them.

Have you tried the same thing using the stock 8.51 FP3 mail template to make sure its not a custom template issue?

Subject: Re. Notes application calendar

Hi, thank you for the tips.Yes I have access to the calendar, I can even open then documents, when I double-click the unlabeled entries in my calendar.

I also enabled the setting in the config doc (and restarted the server, too).

And yes I also tried the standard template in the meanwhile.

But nothing helped till now.

Subject: Sounds like a template issue

It sounds like the columns of the calendar view of the federated app do not have the necessary attributes specified. Here are the docs on what needs to be done to that app to get it to federate properly:

Changes to apply to older Notes calendar views

For this feature to work with an older Notes application, an administrator must first make changes to attributes on the $CalendarView in the application template if these columns are available

Subject: SOLVED, but…

Hey, thank you so much, that solved the issue. But I am very confused as the calendar view StdR8ResourceReservation template version 8.5.1 does not have these settings.

A bit of open work for the IBM developers…

Subject: Addressed in 8.52

if I remember correctly, its been a while since that was done.
