I want to double click a document one server, it automatically open the attachment by symphony spreadsheet. After modification of the attachment, the user press save in symphony spreadsheet and then the notes document is saved with the modified attachment.
(it is acceptable that the attachment is downloaded to local for modification and then upload back to the notes document, but it must be using symphony to open)
Any comment on how to do this feature? Thanks.

You should be able to double click an attachment to the notes database and select edit in the pop up dialog.
1.Lotus notes will create a temp file in the notes temp folder,
2.After modification in Symphony, you need to save the attachment and close the window.
3.Then the modified attachment will replace the copy that was on the server while you save and close the notes document.
Domino policy can help you changing the file type association setting in Preference and allow Symphony to take over control of MS Office file formats.
