Notes <-> Android, anyone?

Dear fellow Domino professionnals,One of my clients is considering equiping their mobile users with Android devices. I’d like to be able to recommand something more secure than plain pop/smtp for email, plus Contacts and Calendar sync or access are a must. Going through Google accounts is not an option, out of simplicity and security concerns.

Since IBM Lotus does not seem to have acknoledged Android yet, can anyone point me toward some third party reliable solutions ?

Thanks

Subject: Android ↔ Notes works with TouchDown App

I have a Android from Verizon.

This is a Motorola Droid model.

I found a third party app in the Android Market (App Store) called TouchDown from NitroDesk. This app does the ActiveSync on the phone and it just works. Mail, Calendar, and Contacts. Since Traveler thinks this is a iPhone, there are no Tasks. But who uses tasks anyway.

Have not tested other functions. I have installed in a very small company. They are not using any policies, so I do not know if they work. And since I am not ready to ZOT my phone, I have not tested WIPE function.
