I’m new to Lotus and currently evaluating Exchange versus Notes. Exchange features quite a handy direct mail push solution, so one can sync it’s mail, contacts, calendars over to a pda. thing is, it’s integrated into exchange so no additional licence fees are required. is this also possible with notes or only with third party extensions like blackberry (quite expensive)?
Any help on this topic would be appreciated.

Well if you get the Quick Start Edition of the BES, it’s free! Comes with 10 user access licenses and the full BES server.

The only problem with it is that you can only upgrade it up to 15 user access licenses - anything more than that and you need to buy a full BES server license. For us this cost £2,500, which also included an addition 5 user access licenses.
