Just about every day now in the morning when I start up Notes it does this
Asks me for my password, goes away and shows load window and progress. Next thing I know I look down and it apparently has re-booted and is asking me for my password again. Usually works the second time
In addition it just goes away several times during the day on it’s own, most often I am not even in the program. I just look over and it is showing me the report to development window asking for a reason it died
I installed FP5 last week via ISST but made no difference
I got lots of nsd files and stuff if anybody needs
Subject: As this is an internal IBM question
You should know this is an external IBM forum.
It sounds like your admins are installing plugins or updates or something via update sites/policies which is causing the client to reboot.
You best bet is to contact your internal IBM support folks.
Subject: I’ve had a similar issue on 8.5.3 FP6.
Only, it doesn’t restart. It sits there. Forever.
I’ve left the progress bar to recycle for at least 5 times before finally ending all the processes and restarting Notes.
Most times it’ll restart immediately.
Once in a while, it’ll go into that recycle again.
It may be associated with the bookmark.nsf being corrupted. I’ve noticed when I switch between basic and Designer Notes, this issue occurs >50% of the time. I’ve also noticed that if I fixup -V -Q bookmark.nsf, the issue never occurs immediately afterward.
