Notes 9 client does not start properly

Hi,

sometimes, when I start the Notes 9 client on Ubuntu I get an empty error message and I cannot open my mails or calendar. To fix it, I need to restart the client several times. The trace viewer shows some severe traces:

Subject: how to reproduce

I did not replace the template design yet but a colleague found out that this error is reproducable by:

  1. closing the “Discover” tab of the client

  2. restarting the client

Leaving the “Discover” tab open is a workaround for this problem.

leaving the “Discover” tab open allows to open the Mail and Calendar view without problems. I am on Ubuntu 14.04 64bit with a fresh install of IBM Notes 9 with Fixpack 2.

Hi, are there any guides on how to reset the template design for Notes 9?

Subject: consider load convert if needing to run in batches

for individuals you can file-> application-> replace design
but that can get tedious if more than a handful of users.

You may want to look into using the ‘load convert’ utility to help assist multiple design mail file upgrades at once.
