Notes_851FP3 Installation error

Hi,

installing the Notes 8.5.1 FP3 package fails with onscreen error message:

“Notes hotfix did not install. Error encountered while installing Notes Core Hotfix component”

The Notes 8.5.1 client is a german multiuser installation on a german WinXP OS.

I’ve tried to install the fixpack on different Clients, but only the ones with a single-user Notes client installation succeeded. All multi-user installed clients failed with the above error message.

Any suggestions on howto fix it?

Subject: Installin 8.5.1. Fixpack 3 - Possible Resolution

We had the same issues with installing Fixpack 3, but found that if you open Task Manager, then end the nsd.exe task, it will allow you to run and install Fixpack 3 without any problems.

Subject: uninstall domino server

I solved uninstalling domino server on my PC before install FP3. Maybe it helps
