Any update on when we will have a Notes 8 Mac client? Last I have heard it will be the second half of 2008 before we have a gold Notes 8 Mac client. What is the hold up? Why are not more developer resources assigned to bringing the Mac client to feature and release date parity?

Last I heard, we would not see a Mac client until release 8.1. I don’t have a date for this. The fact that OS/X will be introducing a major new release next month is not helping. Now as to why the Linux client has a higher priority than the Mac… I have no idea.

They answered this question on the Open Mic call.Two reasons for the delay: Lotus Notes will require Mac OS X “Leopard”, and the new version of Eclipse. Both have not been released yet.
