I have an embedded view and when I refresh that view with F9 or if I select a document from that view and edit it, then the selection of document in that view is lost. The document selection goes to the very first document in the view(this happens when you have more than one page in the view). It makes a lot of problems for users. When they have many documents in the view and if the document selection is lost, then they have to spend a lot of time finding out which document they were working, especialyl if they were working on somewhere in the middle of the view…
I don’t know whether this was a problem for us in Notes 8.0.2. However I just tested it in Notes 8.5 and document selections were retained.
I pressed F9 and also created a new document. After I returned to the view after closing the new document, the previously-selected documents were still selected.
The view is embedded in a tabbed table and selected documents remained selected even after I switched to another tab and returned to the tab containing the view.
Subject: do you have more documents in view…I mean a scroll bar
Thats a good information. But this hapens only if you have more than one page in the view(usually more than 30 docs). If you have only one page in the view, means no vertical scroll bar, then it works perfectly as the selection remains. If you have a vertical scroll bar, and if you scroll it down to the next page, then I lose the document selection on refresh.
Could you please confirm whether you have a scroll bar in that view(means more documents) when you say it retains document seelction.
I agree, I’m having the same problem. Does IBM have a fix for this if upgrading to Notes 8.5 isn’t an option yet? I’d have to wait for my whole Agency to upgrade to get this…
