Hi
Can anyone tell me the system overhead for Notes 8.5?. The organisation I work for is looking to upgrade to Domino 8.5 yet I am struggling to get information on what spec the clients need to be. Most of my systems are less than 4 years old, but a few still only have 512 RAM. Hard drive space isn’t an issue and most are over 3ghz CPU’s or equivalent.
Any help would be appreciated…

I would say in order to run Notes 8.5 well, you need at least 2gb RAM. My machines that have less than that, are constantly giving me headaches with “little”, inconsistent, works one day and not the next type issues, and it is really eroding the end users patience, and confidence in Notes, to the point that we are seriously looking at dumping Notes altogether, and this is coming from someone who has worked with Domino / Notes for 8 years, and a company that has run it for 10 plus years.

Thanks for the replies. I had seen the detailed spec sheets and wondered just how well it would run on min specs. It would seem that experience shows that at 2gb RAM is a sensible choice.
