Notes 8.5 client - return receipt won't stick

I prefer to have the mail options show when I create a new message. From the new memo view, choose Display/Additional Mail Options. All of the options work except for the Return Receipt. Clicking this option causes an event, but the check box does not stick. Using the Delivery Options dialog, the option works as designed.

I have used the feature in all previous releases, but now it appears to be broken.
