Notes 8.5.1 DA Multiuser missing NTF files

HiI installed Notes 8.5.1 Danish by hand at 5 XP clients. All installed as multiuser installations. One PC worked fine, 4 others said “pernames.ntf” was missing when trying to set up Notes client.

I checked the installation. Program was installed correctly at C:\Program Files\IBM\Lotus\Notes, Shared data was at C:\D&S.…\Shared - Notes.ini was there with a lot of other files, but no NTF files at all.

I scanned C: drive and no NTF files were at the PC at all. The installation didn’t give any errors, and I wasn’t prompted for anything.

I tried uninstalling and reinstalling as Administrator but same result.

Copying the files from the content of the entire folder “Shared” to 4 failing PC’s made them all work. So it looks like installation is fine, but some shared files were not placed correcly.

Yesterday I created a MST file to auto install the same client via AD. I testet and rolled out to one client - this client allready had an earlier version of Notes 8.0. This worked.

I then rolled out to another PC resulting in the missing ntf issue.

Ideas anyone? Why is multiuser failing?

Subject: same problem with DE on Win XP and 7

We see the same problem here, using the german Version 8.5.1 DE. Multi User Installation missing the templates (and several other files it seems) in the shared folders on different client machines (XP, Win7). I have done several tests, a few worked, but most did not. I even ran a 8.5. DE Installation and this worked. After that I could also install 8.5.1. But after I uninstalled it and tried again even 8.5 did not install the templates anymore.

We are installing, the dutch version of the client and we have the same problem.Does anyone have a solution yet?
