A couple of times a week, my Notes client crashes on startup. I have loaded every fixpack, including FP4, and it still happens.
When I start the client, it will begin starting up normally,then when the My Work page loads, everything loads fine except the Inbox view. The status bar says “Opening” for a few seconds, then says “Rebuilding Index” for a few seconds. At that point the Inbox view displays and the client immediately crashes. Of course, consistent with the way Notes never gives you enough details about what’s going on, it doesn’t tell me WHICH index it’s rebuilding.
I checked and we do have automatic archiving scheduled to run twice a week on our mail files. I am disabling that from running this weekend to see if that has any effect, since my client crashes every Monday.
Has anyone else had this issue, or is there something I can add to notes.ini to help me figure out which index is being rebuilt?
