Specific topic: ContactsI somehow “lost” the Company view. How can I get that view again? The views for Groups and Category (and individual Contacts) are working fine.
Thanks.

Subject: design
Hav you tried replacing the design?
Subject: Design Refresh failed: lost all views
Tried to replace the design. It failed too. And it took out all the remaining views of my contacts.
Now I’m desperate!
Subject: refresh design
Open your Contacts application and select File / Application / Refresh Design. Click OK (keep “Local” as the listing).
If you don’t see Refresh Design on your menu, select View - Advanced Menus first.
Subject: Contacts Design Refresh Fails
Thanks for the quick responses! The design refresh from local fails. Any ideas for next steps?
Subject: Design replace failed – lost all views
Tried to replace the design (after the refresh failed). The replace failed too, and after it failed NO views work for contacts.
Now I’m desperate!
Subject: run utilities
Shut down Notes and run nfixup, ncompact and nupdall on your address book to see if there’s corruption.
Subject: run utilities
I don’t understand what “run utilities” means. Can you elaborate? I really need to get a view to my Contacts reestablished.
Thanks!
Subject: RE: Run utilities
Peter gave you what you need – there are three Notes utility programs that you can run against a database in order to fix different types of problems. They are nfixup.exe, nupdall.exe and ncompact.exe (on Windows). You can run them against a database either through the Run command on the start menu or by opening a command prompt. For instance, from a command prompt, navigate to your Notes data directory and enter:
nfixup names.nsf
If you have the Domino Administrator client installed, you could do the same thing by opening Local as the server, selecting the database and running the fixup tool.
Subject: run utilities
Thanks. Did a compact on the database, then replaced design again. It worked.
Subject: try Replace Design instead
select the local template called “Personal Address Book” as the one to use.
