I am receiving the message “The View is being updated. It will display as soon as the update completes. You can continue working with other Notes windows while the view is updating.” It occurs intermittantly on my clinet and other clients within our organization.
The problem occurs on both basic and enhanced 8.0.2 clients. This was not a problem on 6.5.6 which we upgraded from.
Any assistance anyone can provide is greatly appreciated!

You need to check out the View Properties of your view, particularly the Advanced tab. Check if the Discard has a value of “After each use”. If your view contains a considerable number of documents and your Index Discard of your view has that value then, it will yield an outcome that it is like indexing all the time, especially if the index is set to refreshed automatically.
