We have 1 pc that notes will not exit. If I uninstall Java and reinstall it the client will exit for a day or two.
I have uninstalled notes and reinstalled twice. Works for awhile.
Anyone seen this problem?
Subject: Are there any applets on the Notes Welcome page?
We upgraded from 6.5.5 to 7.0.2. After the upgrade we started having reports of users that could not exit Lotus Notes correctly. After some research (and a PMR that we opened with IBM) we noticed that users that had this problem had customized their Welcome page. The common element was that the Welcome page contained some of the java applets that ship with Notes (clock, calendar, calculator). The solution was to have these users switch to an alternate Welcome page that did not contain any applets.
Lotus was aware of the issue, and it appears to exist in 7.x clients. An SPR was created on our behalf.
