This is the error that I get when I open any mail message using R6.0 client with an R6 server. I first saw it when I was using my R6 client with the R5 server, but I just upgraded the server and still get this message.
I don’t think that this is normal. I’m also using the R6 mail template. Anyone else seen this problem? It doesn’t seem to break anything but it is sort of annoying getting that message.

A few things you might want to try.
Remove the icon from your workspace (if you can find it), restart Notes, then re-add the icon.
Refresh the design of your mail file.
Compact your mail file with the -d argument.
Run updall on your mail file with the -r argument.
Create a new replica of your mail file, then replace the old one with the newly created replica.
Check that you don’t have an HTML file specified in your signature that the client can’t reach now for some reason.

Thanks for your suggestions but so far nothing has worked.
The mailbox has already been replaced with the new R6 template from Openntf (i don’t think their template is bad cause it works fine on other mailboxes), i tried everything else including compacting and updalling, I have no html in the sign. It’s odd… every message that I have received has the error, though it’s more of an annoyance then anything, as the message still opens fine. I could try doing the replica thing but i figure as a last resort cause my mailbox is on a server on the net and it’s gotten quite large, i would rather not do a replica of it again (i have one already but it has the same problem)
Oh well… yet another weird Lotus thing.

I think notes couldn’t properly update the design of your mail file . So now if you try to update it by any means it will say it has updated the design but actually it will not do that. You try first changing the design of your mail file to some other template like admin4.ntf or pubnames.ntf. The command syntex will be " Load convert mail\yourmail.nsf * admin4.ntf" then once it successfully converts the design then convert it to original mail template " Load convert mail\yourmail.nsf * mail6.ntf".
Hope fully this will solve the issue. Don’t forget to backup your mail file before doing all these activity"
Subject: Occasionally when I get these problems, I replace the design with a “blank” template.
i.e. one that has no design elements except 1 view. Verify that all design elements are gone. Then replace the design with the new template.

I went through all of these “fixes” when Rnext first came out and still had no joy.Anytime it happens now, I just create a new mail file, copy all docs and replace. Takes actual time few minutes, you just have to go away and come back a few times. Don’t bother trying to figure out why!!!
