Not Receiving Mail

Continuing problem from my post of 5/6/11. Our mail server was fully functional until we had to move (another company took over). the domain name, isp and state (alaska to hawaii) changed as well. after making all the relevant changes to the domino server documents, mail can be sent out from a client but the domino server does not retrieve mail. there is a static IP address for this company and the DNS records in server 2003 all appear to be proper, nslookup retrieves the FQDN of the server. i used the website “MX Toolbox” to check the MX records and it reports back with the FQDN but the reported IP address is 0.0.0.0 and am thinking that is the root of the problem. The ISP checked and the MX records point to the FQDN of the mail server. Using the Trace command at the domino command window returns the private internal IP address of the server but reports "Unable to connect to the server on TCPIP (remote system not responding). This same error displays when running a Replicate command as well.

I would appreciate any help that can be offered to remedy this dilemma. if you choose, i can be emailed: jons.albright@gmail.com

thanks…

You absolutely need to change DNS so that your FQDN points to the IP address of your server, not to 0.0.0.0.
