Hi All,
I am very new to lotus notes, one of the users is having a problem receiving emails in lotus notes, when she send emails to any user, they are going through, but she’s not receiving any emails either from internal (lotus notes mails from other users) users or external (gmail, yahoo etc)users. Can anyone please help me with this issue? I don’t even have a clue as to where I need to start troubleshooting this issue.

Suman
Subject: local replication
Do you work off local replicas of the mailfiles? Perhaps her client isn’t replicating.
Do the senders receive a delivery failure? Perhaps her email address is incorrect in her person document.

Thanks Maria. When a user is sending a mail to her, no error is getting popped up. I didn’t understand the first part of your response, could you please elaborate it and let me know how that needs to be done? Thanks.

And just to let you know, I tried accessing her email from the Domino, but I didn’t see any of the emails that were send to her in the domino server.

OK, so we ruled out:• error on sending (the sender isn’t getting any error or delivery failure)
• local replica (you didn’t see the messages in the Domino server copy of the mailfile either)
The next things to look at:
• Is it getting held on the server? Check the mail.box on the Domino server and see if the message is in there. Usually this would be in a ‘held’ state with a reason…such as recipient over quota.
• Is it getting delivered elsewhere? Check the log file for the date/time the message was sent to her and see what happened to it. Also, check message tracking in the Admin client.
• Server/Client Mail Rules could also be interfering with the message. If the log/message tracking indicate it was delivered, but you aren’t seeing it in her mailfile, then it would be client mail rules.
• Antivirus/Antispam - depending on the product you are using, it might quarantine messages or delete them. It should have a log, at least.

Thanks a lot Maria for your help. The issue is finally resolved. The issue is due to insufficient disk space and spam filter.
