I am attempting to install Domino 9.0, and at the point the install gets to 20% I am blocked with the message “you are not authorized to use the server”. Based on some earlier reports, I tried unchecking “users listed in all trusted directories” and blanking the entry (LocalDomainServers) in the the “And” clause of “Access server” in the security tab of the primary server document. I also unchecked “Check passwords on Notes IDs” on that tab. Has anyone else seen this, and iff so did you find a solution?
Subject: You are not running server while upgrading it - correct?
What software issues the warnings? That is not install.
Thanks,
Irina Khasin (Domino Install Team)
Subject: RE: “Not Authorized to Use Server” Blocks Install
This was a self-inflicted wound. The administrator account I used didn’t have adequate rights. (This is what happens when your network and server guy leaves the organization.) Once I corrected that, all was well.
