If i loged in (in Domino administrator) through admin istrator id then i am not able to view “mail” folder. If i loged in through another id(my id) then i am able to see. can anyone help me to solve this problem…
The Administrator ID does not automatically have rights to read individual mail files.
For mail files, the default ACL setting is usually is ‘No Access’ with ‘Read Public Documents’. This means that the frameset will open but no mail or folders will show. Unfortunately if you have ‘Read Public Documents’ access you will not see any error messages to suggest restricted access.
sorry i didnt understant… i will explain… when i opend domino administrator—>on files tab—> here i am not able to see the “mail” folder which contains all the users mail file. before two days i was able to see… but now not showing… can anybody help to solve this issue…
I your original post you said that you can see the mail when logged in through your own ID. Is this also in the Administator client (Files tab)? Or when you go to File - Database - Open?
What do you see in the Files tab? Anything?
Have you checked the following?
correct server is opened
the ‘Show me’ drop down is not set to show non-database files
the ID has access to the server and has not expired.
Id file is not expired… and i checked other server “file” tab… i can view the “mail” folder in that server. but only perticular server “mail folder” (my server) is not able to see… and can you tell me where is this "Show me " drop down otion
dont mind please… i dont have that much experience in domino…
Actually you can check ur mailbox ACL.just need to make sure your id is in that ACL
then from there you “select your id” then in the access conner
you can choose “Manager”. By right it can open the mailbox. if your id cannot change your mailbox ACL. then you can call ur administrator to change for you
