Not able to install Lotus Notes 8.5

When I try to install the free download on my computer, I get the following error message:

“The installation package cannot be installed by Windows Installer Service. You must install a windows service pack that contains a newer version of the Windows Installer Service”.

I have Windows XP Version 2002 Service Pack 2 installed in my system.

Kindly let me know, what is going wrong here.

Subject: Sounds like you have an older version of msi installed.

Try upgrading to SP3 or at least upgrading to MSI 3.0
