Hi All,
I am listed as a Manager to the database and I have Author’s Field a multivalue Field in the form
I also have a user who has Author access in the ACL and he is also listed in the Author Field of the same form as it is a multivalue filed
When I open the Form , I am in the Edit mode and the fields are editable.
When the user opens the form , he is in the read mode eventhough he has Author access and he is also listed in the Author’s Field .
The values of both the users in the Author’s Field is in the Canonicalize format “CN=Test1/O=XYZ”
“CN=Test2/O = XYZ”
Also when I look in the document properties and the Filed value of Authors Field I see Field Properties Flag SUMMARY READ/WRITE-ACCESS NAMES

but the question is who created those document a person who is having author access can edit only those document which is created by him his name must present in author field

Priyank, that is not true- the values in the Author field grant Author access- @username as a formula in that field allows that user to edit it- but one can put other values in the field- I put groups in there to allow group authorship, and progratically change the author field to “[Admin]” to disallow author’s from editing a document after a certain point in time. I do think there are two possible issues,a) it is not a multivalue field, as previously questioned
b) the name is not in the right format

I would confirm that the field is multi-value. Even if it’s not, you’ll get EDITOR access because of your ACL access.
Second, I would confirm that the user’s name is in there exactly right. I recently ran into cases where some name changes had not been pushed through to applications and so people didn’t get the right access to documents because their OU had changed.
