Hi all, I use Notes client 9.0.1 on windows 7 x64 7601 SP1
We are using Microsoft OneNote 2013 for a project. It has many tabs and we need links to help users find the correct items etc.
OneNote uses a custom URL “onenote://”, how when we use these in emails in the Notes Client we have issues.
If the windows default web browser is set to IE and the user clicks the link then no problem, IE redirects to the onenote file no problem. If the URL is copied from the email into the start>run box then it also opens correctly.
However if chrome is set as the default web browsers, and the url is clicked, the notes client just opens a chrome window with no redirect. I thought at first this was a chrome problem… but then researching it a bit I don’t think it is.
The notes client should use the windows system to run the URL which then shells the correct program, it however appears to just call the default http url handler assuming the URL is a http/https address.
A workaround would be to send the URL straight to explorer and let the windows systems do the rest. So do you know a way I can make the notes client call a different browser ? (i.e. not the internal one or the default)
