I am running Notes 8.0.1 Std Eclipse. I’ve just recently reentered the Notes world after being out of the loop for about a year.
I created Nomad on a USB drive and the installation ran w/out error. I pointed everything to E:\NOMAD, with the E: being the dynamic drive letter for my USB drive. I run E:\Nomad\autorun.exe and it looks like it works. It places the shortcut to “Notes on USB” on my desktop. When I double click that, I get a flash of an hour glass, but nothing happens. Notes does not open. I can see in Task manager that “nomad_monitor2.exe” is running, but no Notes Client.
I removed all of the Nomad/Notes files from my USB drive, then deleted the Nomad folder entirely. Reran the setup to the root of the USB drive. It processed w/out error. Now when I launch autorun.exe, it runs, no errors and no Notes on a USB desktop icon.
I edited autolaunch_notes=yes in autorun.ini to autolaunch_notes=nlnotes. Now Notes Nomad launches and I was able to configure and use it, but, it does not add the desktop icon and when I exit Notes Nomad, the nomad_monitorx.exe process does not end and I can not remove the USB drive properly.
I’d prefer to leave the autorun.ini set at autolaunch_notes=yes.
