No Sametime in 8.0.1 Standard Client

Okay, I’m completely stumped here. I have an install of the 8.0.1 client. If I load the Basic client it connects to our Sametime server and everything is fine. If I launch the Standard client I get no Sametime. I don’t see any Sametime options, no Sametime sidebar, if I go into my names.nsf and look at the location document I don’t even see a field in there to put the Sametime server (although if I open that same names.nsf in the Basic client I do see this field. I have been using the Basic clients up till this point but need to start playing with the Standard for a project that I’m going to be on and I am completely at a loss as to why I see nothing Sametime related in the Standard client.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,

It is correct that you must install the plugin. Also, once it is installed, it doesn’t obey the configurations from the Basic Client. The Basic Client uses the location doc and User Preferences to configure Sametime. Once installed, you’ll need to configure the plugin in the Eclipse client using File → Preferences → Sametime. This will not interfere with your current Basic configuration. :slight_smile:
