We have a situation where a limited number of our sites are unable to route internal mail back to our hub server. External mail works fine for these sites. This all work perfectly prior to migrating our Hub server from a physical to virtual machine - rather than do a P2V, we created a new VM and configured it using the Hub ID and ini file.
No connection docs, notes networks or server configs have been changed.
Replicating the NAB to the affected sites and restarting the router task fixed a few of these sites but about 8 are still not working.
Any help/suggestions will be much appreciated.
thanks
Steve
Subject: No Route Found To Server
Hello Steve,
Have you tried running a trace from the problematic server to the Hub?
Issue the command " Trace servername" where servername is the name of the hub server. Can you connect? Is the right ip being used?
If the server is unable to find a path to it you can try “trace ipaddress” where ipaddress is the ip address of the hub server. If a successful connection is made Domino will cache this information so that it can be reused at a later time.
I hope this helps

Hi and thanks for the reponses so far.To answer the questions posed -
No, the Vm has the same IP address and hostname of the old hub.
Ric - I can run a trace from the 7 problem servers to the Hub. Correct IP is found and connection is made.
Internal and External mail both should route via the same hub but only external mail works on these problem servers.
I don’t understand how the connection doc can work for external mail but not for internal mail?
A newly created user at a problem site is able to route internal mail though but recreating all the affected users is not an option.

OK, good news - found the cause of our woes!
We use server groups for replication and mail routing connection docs and the mail routing doc for our Australian sites had become corrupt. I have disabled this doc and created a new one and mail is now happily routing around the whole organisation.
Thanks to those that replied, hope this helps someone in the future.
