I upgraded my first test server from 6.5.4 to 8.0.1 this week and there was no prompt to upgrade the Domino Directory when the server was first started. It was still on R654 design after and I definitely don’t have the ini setting present that suppresses this.
Got round it by manually upgrading it but it concerns me when things don’t go as they should. Anyone else seen this?

the question prompt only if the setup parms in notes.ini of the server are lower then the current server’s version.so if you don’t get the prompt, you have changed the ini manually or you take a new ini by changing servers programm directory or changing the hardware.

Exactly same thing happened to me when I upgraded my test server. Like you did, I manually updated the design of system dbs. I wonder if this has happened to many more people than just two of us
