No.of docs in a view calculated & displayed on a Page?

I would like to display the number of records in a selected view on a page.

The user has requested seeing a total no. of records(document) for each selected view. This will be positioned at the bottom of the navigation page. I have an embedded outline in a page as the navigation.

So far…

I’ve a computed text field in my page @Elements(@DbColumn(“”:“NoCache”;“”;“All Docs”;1)) which works, but I want to work out the number of records in whichever view the user selects.

I tried using @ViewTitle instead of specifically naming the view but this doesn’t work. Can anyone offer some suggestions on how to do this.

Hope this makes sense, can anyone provide some help in how to do this. Sounds pretty simple but I can’t figure it out.

Thanks,

Cherise

how are they selecting the view(s)? Your bset bet would be to use LotusScript:

get the view then use AllEntries.Count NotesView property

Hi Paul,

They are selecting the view from an embedded outline which is in a page.

I’m a bit foggy here, but can I write LS in a page?

Has anyone included a No of records in any of their Notes Client apps?

Thanks,

Cherise
