No Notes-ID after reinstall

Hi community,

due to database design-problems I had to reinstall a Lotus Notes 8.5.1. client on a Windows XP SP3 machine.

After running the uninstall procedure, including the deletion f the Lotus Notes installation directory, I reinstalled the cleint in another directory on the hard disk.

When trying to configure the client after the installation is complete, I am not prompted for a notes-ID, but the submit username and password for connecting to the supplied Domino server-name. Of course, this fails.

What do I need to be, to make Lotus Notes prompt me for the ID-file.

Subject: Check your Notes ID vault config

If the user in question is configured to use a Notes ID vault, then the setup procedure will attempt to do just what you have described – use the username and password to download the ID file from the vault – before prompting for a password locally. If everything is configured correctly, the user won’t even realize that they have an ID file.
