A user here tries to mail to a group created in his Personal Address Book containing users also created in his PAB.
When he tries to send out the email, Lotus Notes comes with a message, “name is not unique” and it present a dialog to select which of person’s address you wish to use. This is correct as some of the people also exist in the server’s NAB.
he select which he wants to use, presses OK and then Lotus Notes comes with a message:
“No names found to send mail to” and the send is canceled.
The problem lied within 1 corrupted contact document.
How to determine which?
Split up the group in 2, enter each group in sendto, press F9, if all email addresses are displayed, than that group is ok, if not, the corrupted name is in that group, split it up again…etc
Glad you found a fix, albeit probably not easily. On thing I might suggest, as I’ve seen similar issues, is to have people copy contacts from the NAB into their PAB wherever possible rather than creating those (company) addresses. Obviously this won’t work for out-of-house contacts, but doing it this way will help ensure correct contact information - at least for company contacts.
