No Domino Directory with DAMO

We have some users on Outlook 2000 SP3 using DAMO 6.5.4 and now they can’t access the Domino Directory. They get the error: “The address list could not be displayed. Unable to open address book because no connection to a mail server exists.” Does anyone know why this could happen. I have checked to make sure no ports are blocked. I don’t see DAMO trying to connect via port 1352. Is it not using 1352 to pull up the PAB? Why won’t it use the local copy of the PAB? Any help would be great! Thanks!

On those workstations where you are seeing this problem:

1 - Has a profile been successfully created? Go to Control Panel, Mail icon.

2 - Has the initialization process completed successfully after the user opens his profile for the first time? You will know because DAMO provides a document “Welcome to IBM Lotus Domino Access for Microsoft Outlook”

3 - Can you confirm connection to the server? - You would do that from a DOS prompt by typing the following command:

                        telnet <domino server IP address><space>1352

4 - Does a Notes client connect on one of these problematic workstations?

5 - Can you open the user’s mail file through a browser using Domino Web Access (DWA)?

Just as the Notes client initiates a connection to the Domino server on port 1352, DAMO does also. Are you trying to connect through a firewall?

On the Domino server console enter:

                      "set config log_sessions=1"

This will allow you to see if the user is connecting to the Domino server when he opens Outlook.

I looked into this a little further and it seems that Cisco Security Agent is what is causing all of the fuss. Reconfiguring CSA solves the problem.
