Our traveler users with Nokia phones (E72) have the following problem:
If they receive an invitation and accept it on the mobile device a correct calender entry will be created but the sender of the invitation doesn’t receive a confirmation.
I checked it and there is indeed an object placed in the outbox of the PDA after accepting an invitation. I checked that it’s the correct outbox by sending a standard email in addition before syncing again.
After the sync the email went to the correct receiver as expected but the object from the calender entry (which I assume is that confirmation mail) dissapeard completely.
It never reached the receipient, never appeared in the senders sent-folder and no reference could be found in the logs of the mail-server.
Unfortunately the Nokia phone offers no option to check that object in the outbox any further to verify if receipient address etc. is configured correctly. But as the email works in general it shouldn’t be a configuration issue anyway.
Anybody having the same problem? Is this a known issue?
