I don’t see any buttons on web when I access my mail via the web. I can see my mail fine but can not do anything to it as I do not any buttons.

Subject: No buttons
Check to be sure you’ve enabled java applets in your browser.

and that you even have a JVM on your computer (common since the Sun injunction), and that you didn’t answer “No” when prompted to download and install the action bar applet.
Of course, if your mailfile were based on the DWA template, then you’d see the buttons, since the DWA template uses DHTML and AJAX instead of java applets. There is that one ActiveX control, though…
Subject: RE: No buttons
If you follow Bruce’s suggestion, then you would need to change your mail file to the DWA template (Bruce, I haven’t used, is that right?):
In R6.5.x Lotus has 3 templates.
a. Standard R6 Mail template (mail6.ntf)
b. Extended Mail Template (mail6ex.ntf)
c. Domino Web Access aka DWA (iNotes6.ntf)

Problem can be on user’s or server side?
Again, as Bruce said, make sure JVM is installed on your computer.
Subject: RE: No buttons
I upgraded my mail file from R5 to R6ex template with no change, I mean I still do not see the action bar. I tried loading the the mail in Netscape’s as well but ended up with no buttons there too.
I was successful in downloading the jar files from server, so there is no probelm with that either. However when I tried opening the files I got the message
“Failed to load Main-Class manifest attribute from c:\Documents and settings\user\local settings\temporary internet files\content.IE6\3r9b3lks\outline[1].jar”
I thing that I am not sure about where these downloaded files should be put. I have them in a local folder but do they need to go in specific folder on my machine?

Try going here:http://www.java.com/en/download/help/testvm.xml
and test your JVM, then if you see an error, scroll down to the bottom of the page to see how to resolve it.
Subject: RE: No buttons
I never got prompted for downloading and installation of action bar applet. This is what seems to be the issue as when I checked Java Console, it had the following message
“class lotus.notes.apps.actionbar.ActionBar.class not found.”
What do I need to do to remedy the situation?
Thanks in advance.
